Hult Prize UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS

About Hult Prize

A global competition, a campus-sized mission: help University of Lagos students turn ideas into ventures that matter.

What is the Hult Prize?

Founded in 2010 and run by the Hult Prize Foundation alongside Hult International Business School, the Hult Prize is a year-long global competition for university students. Teams build for-profit startups that address at least one UN Sustainable Development Goal, with a commitment to people, planet, and profit in equal measure.

The competition is funded by the Hult family, founders of EF Education First, and has drawn judges and mentors including former US President Bill Clinton and Nobel Peace Prize winner Muhammad Yunus over the years. Each cycle now draws thousands of student startups from more than 130 countries.

The winning team walks away with US$1,000,000 in seed funding to launch their venture — but every team that competes leaves with mentorship, a global network, and real experience building a business from the ground up.

Hult Prize UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS

Hult Prize UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS is the official on-campus organizing team at the University of Lagos, part of a network of student-run programs at universities worldwide. We recruit, coach, and host the local qualifying round that gives UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS students a shot at the national and global stages of the competition.

Our job is to make the on-ramp as clear as possible: information sessions, workshops on building a for-profit social venture, and a final pitch event that sends our strongest team forward.
